Karmela Palma-Samson

Head, Qatar Professional Women’s Network, Qatar

Karmela is the Head of QPWN and the Lead of the QPWN Mentoring Group. She has been a resource speaker for various women’s organizations on mentoring, professional development, and establishing mentoring and coaching programs. She is also a Founding Member of IAM Filipina, a non-profit organization in Qatar supporting the development of Filipinas in leadership and management roles, endorsed by the Philippine Embassy in Qatar.

By profession, she is a certified Organization Development Coach and is engaged with the Qatar Financial Centre Regulatory Authority -Strategy & Organisational Development Department. She is also a Faculty Member at the De La Salle – College of St. Benilde School of Professional and Continuing Education.

She holds double master’s degrees in LLM International Trade and Commercial Law from the University of Essex, United Kingdom, and an Executive MBA from the Ateneo de Manila Graduate School of Business, Philippines. She is completing her dissertation for her Doctorate degree from San Beda University, Philippines. Karmela has been a consistent academic achiever and leader. Karmela has several professional certifications, including Certified Organization Development Coach, Project Management Professional, and Certified Learning and Development Professional, among others.

Karmela is a published academic journal author, focusing her research on women development and empowerment, organization development and excellence, strategic management, ESG, and human resources.
