Unlocking Financial Power: Empowering Women in Finance

09 May 2025 ♦ Estrel, Berlin, Germany

Did you know that only 40% of women are confident in their financial knowledge, compared to 60% of men? And, despite making up 47% of the global workforce, women control just 30% of global wealth (Source: Credit Suisse).
Financial education is essential for changing these statistics!

Empowering women with the skills to navigate the world of finance unlocks opportunities for economic independence, business growth, and generational wealth.
The GWF Barcamp is designed to bridge the gap, providing women with the tools to make confident financial decisions.

The Barcamp aims to provide women and non-binary hospitality entrepreneurs at all stages of their career - from looking to turn idea into operation to growing one’s existing businesses - with the financial literacy training they need to get to their next level.

What is a Barcamp?

  • At a barcamp, there are no predetermined speakers, but all participants are invited to contribute their own experiences, knowledge and ideas.
  • In doing so, we often discover which things we take for granted are interesting topics for other people present.
  • From these topics, a program is spontaneously created on site, the content of which is completely determined by the participants. Many years of experience have shown that this results in a very intensive exchange of knowledge and in-depth discussions, from which everyone benefits significantly more than from normal events with speakers.

You are free

You are completely free: lead a session on a topic that is important to you, join other participants or just listen in here and there.

You are welcome

Whether it's presentations, panel discussions, workshops or simply sharing experiences - your creative ideas are welcome!

It's about connecting

It's an event that's all about networking. Getting to know each other. And learning from others.

It's about learning

Our Barcamp offers you the opportunity to learn more, make new contacts and discover inspiring ideas in an open and friendly environment.
